I haven't been able to verify the dates of birth and baptism but these appear in other people's websites, indicating that the baptism was at the New Jerusalem Church in Brightlingsea (where many other members of the Layzell family had been baptised previously). The dates also appear in a family tree drawn up by Alf Wakeling, a former curator of Brightlingsea Museum, who researched a number of Brightlingsea families. However, I cannot find that anybody holds New Jerusalem records for post-1837 baptisms.
