GRACE CLARKE
Grace Clarke married James Crutchfield in 1817 but the Marriage Register shows her as a widow.
I have not been able to find a marriage of a Grace to a Clark(e) in the London area or in Suffolk between 1792 and 1817 with the exception of the following:
The marriage of Grace Greening to Thomas
Clark in 1800, but Grace Greening appears to have been christened at Bethnal Green in 1771. The only baptism of a Grace at Mildenhall around the time in question appears to be
Grace Clark (sic) in 1771 but it seems more likely that 'our' Grace was baptised in an outlying village. On the other hand, she could have married and reverted to her maiden name
after her marriage ended.
AND
The marriage of Grace Cousens to Richard Clarke in 1801 at Whatfield, Suffolk but this is some 40 miles from Mildenhall where she was born according to censuses.
