JOHN CORDY (c1761-1828)

John Cordy, son of James Cordy (c1729-1808), was a shopkeeper and philanthropist. He was evidently of sufficient importance that the Worlingworth Local History Group has devoted a whole page of their website to him. Click here for the webpage.

There is even a small road Cordy's Meadow in Worlingworth which is presumably named after him.
