I have shown Elizabeth Ann as the daughter of John Basey and Elizabeth (née Cordy) but despite an exhaustive search have not found a baptism record to confirm this. However, I believe there can be little doubt as

• she is described as niece in the will of John Cordy (1720 - 1800)
• she was a witness at the marriage of John Cordy Baxter (who would be her cousin) along with William Cordy (who would be her uncle)
• her husband James and daughter Charlotte were witnesses at the marriage of William Cordy Nelson (who would be her nephew) along with William Cordy
• William Cordy was a witness at her marriage to James Aldous, along with Robert Minns (who was married to Mary Cordy who would be her cousin)
• her daughter Ann Elizabeth Aldous is described as niece in the will of Ann Hare (? - 1821), formerly Ann King née Cordy.

I think that either Elizabeth was never baptised or that the minister failed to enter the event in the register.
