The General Record Office record for his death indicates his age was 74 - which tallies. However, in the register entry for the marriage of his daughter Elizabeth in 1857 he is stated to be deceased. This may be a mistake - the bride's father was also shown as deceased. I have not found any other death entry which fits the circumstances.
