MARY MORRIS & ANN MORRIS
Mary Morris married Cornelius Oram at Monks Kirby (Warwickshire) in 1756 and Ann Morris married Cornelius' grandson, John Boulton Oram, at Broseley in 1814. I was hoping to find a relationship between Mary and Ann but I have not succeeded.
There were many Morris families both in Broseley where Cornelius & Mary's daughter Elisabeth was baptised in 1757 and in Madeley where their later children were baptised as far back as the 1600s. Ann's parents (John & Elisabeth) are easy to name because the witnesses at her marriage were John Cox Morris and Frances Morris, Ann's brother and sister. Also there were Morris families in the villages close to Monks Kirby going back to the 1600s.
Ann's father, John, is less easy to identify as more than one John Morris was baptised at Broseley around the approriate time - and, of course, John did not have to have started life in Broseley anyway. Cornelius and Mary married at Monks Kirby, some 60 or so miles from Broseley, so Mary could well have emanated from that area. Indeed it looks like Mary came from Brinklow (less than 4 miles from Monks Kirby).
