It would appear that there are at least three people baptised John Standing or John Standen around the relevant time so it is difficult to determine which is the correct one. There is a marriage of John Standing to Elizabeth Hubbard in 1754 and a marriage of John Standing to Elizabeth Hailer in 1761. Other researchers have concluded that "our" John Standing married Elizabeth Hubbard but I cannot find any evidence to verify this; indeed both marriages could relate to the same John.

I have assumed that all John's children shown are born to the same Elizabeth; that may not be correct.
