John Reed appears to be the illegitimate son of Elizabeth Reed baptised in 1772. The only other baptisms of John Reed in Isleham seem to be far too early. There does not appear to be a baptism of Elizabeth Reed in Isleham at around the right time, in fact the nearest possible such baptism elsewhere that I have found was at Oakley, Suffolk (some 35 miles from Isleham) in 1745.
