I have made the assumption that Thomas Drayton was the son of John Drayton and his wife Katherine but have not found a baptism to confirm this. The assumption is based on the following:

• The only Drayton baptisms recorded in the Isleham registers between 1700 & 1740 are children of John & Katherine.
• The Isleham registers for 1719 to 1724 are missing and it is quite likely that Thomas was born in this period given that his wife was baptised in 1728.
• I have not found the baptism of a Thomas Drayton in any other parishes in the area at the right sort of time. All the other Drayton baptisms in Cambridgeshire from 1710 to 1740 shown on familysearch.com are at Shepreth which is nearly 40 miles from Isleham.
• The names of Thomas's children include a John and a Katherine
