EMILY CURTIS & HENRY NORRIS

I have not found any evidence that Emily Curtis and Henry Norris were ever married. I suspect that they were living as man and wife even though they weren't. Possibly Henry was already married. Some family trees on Ancestry give a marriage date of 2nd November 1872 but that appears to relate to a marriage between a different Emily Curtis and a Henry Laver.

I have taken the name Henry from the baptisms of Charles and Florence. The father's name for the baptism of Lilian is given as Frederick Thomas but I believe that that is carelessness on the part of the clergy. For the baptism of Florence the mother is shown as Edith instead of Emily.

The 1891 census shows Emily as widowed.
